Mini lathe (7x10) rail and gear protection
thingiverse
I design this rail protection for mini lathe, which is 4mm deep and functions perfectly with 5mm felts. The rails are meticulously clean and oiled at all times. I subsequently create a 3mm bore for the screw head to fit into it. Use an M1.6mm screw for this purpose. Additionally, I make an extra 2.5mm hole from the top to add oil to the felts. Furthermore, I design gear protection, both of which work exceptionally well for me; you can find the .skp (SketchUp) file there and modify the components as needed. Just print with 0.1 or 0.2 layer thickness; both work perfectly. I utilize PLA for this project.
