Mini laser engraver supercarver mod
thingiverse
These are the first modifications made to the mini laser engraver.\nTo reduce vibrations and noise during movement along the axes, I created feet to print with a rubber material (I tried both TPU 95S and Ninjaflex, and they work fine).\nSince I have to make the laser work for a long time to cut wood (sometimes up to 30 minutes), I created a support for the laser with a slot for a 25x25x10mm fan.\nI also created a gear to facilitate focusing the laser based on the height of the material to be engraved.\nPrinting list:\n4 pieces feet\n1 piece focusing gear\n1 piece laser support (version 20mm or 23mm)\nIn addition to the printed parts, you will need:\n-1 M3x18 screw if using the standard laser mount nut or an M3x20 screw for the auto-locking nut\n-4 M3x10 screws for fixing the laser heat sink to the support\n-2 or 4 M3x12 screws for fixing the fan\nJST BEC connectors for connecting the fan's power supply\nI hope it can be useful.\nGood work.\nDecember 31, 2016\nI added a modified version of the engraving support (support laser ventola 23.stl), with a 23mm diameter hole for the fan since I found a fan with approximately 23mm diameter blades.\nThe other version has a 20mm diameter hole; you decide which one suits your needs.\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Gimax maty\nRafts: Doesn't Matter\nSupports: Yes\nResolution: 0.15\nInfill: max\nNotes: The parts were printed in ABS for better heat resistance, with the feet made of Ninjaflex.
