This mounts a squirrel cage fan for improved print cooling on my Mini Kossel printer, allowing me to move heat away from the filament. I needed a better print cooling setup for my Mini Kossel with a squirrely cage fan installed above the hotend effector area. Here is what I came up with. Instructions Essential items: - 1 M3 bolt - 1 used medical CPAP hose or similar - Used medical supply store - visit them for used equipment; ask for short mask hoses, which can be converted for print cooling fan. - Used medical equipment (such as medical air hose) - Used equipment: (1) mini squirrel cage fan - size matters and the fan is important to keep a decent distance between nozzle heat - Wiring required - just connect 2 pins into Ramps Design parameters: Design is measured at 64mm in length; you may adjust as per need. Instructions for installation: Step by step: (1) Use printer (with used equipment - no more problems and waste will not be there when printed using same); (2) Print parts. For fans print the entire design with ABS; For the rest, choose any material such as ABS; PLA, PETG - that makes up the rest. It can even take all day for full build out with parts and fan; 3) Secure M3 bolt at base (where nozzle should ideally be), which then acts to prevent movement of nozzles from base plate by using the part which was installed; 4) Connect used hoses from the mount so it forms a seal when fitted in place. (5) To install new cooler parts, secure all connections and use the fan as the next final move towards securing cooler assembly completely - Print is more smooth with lower heat coming out to get in contact.
