Mini Kenbak-1
thingiverse
Kenbak-1, the world's first personal computer, was crafted entirely by hand in Oregon by John Blankenbaker. Only 50 units were ever built, showcasing the pioneering spirit of this innovative mind. Introduced in 1971, Kenbak-1 stood out as a relic from an era before integrated circuits dominated the landscape. John cleverly replaced the traditional processor with discrete logic chips, pushing the boundaries of what was possible at the time. To bring this historic computer to life, simply print two symmetrical handles and ten keys. The keys feature a mix of black and white hues, although some images suggest an occasional red key might have been part of the original design.
