Mini Joystick Housing
thingiverse
This housing encloses a pair of low-cost PS2 joystick modules available on eBay for under $2 each, complete with free shipping. It is compact enough to conceal in the palm of your hand during performance when controlling a device. Although no wiring is depicted, there is a channel within the housing that allows you to route a wire out its end. The module accepts +5VDC as input and provides proportional analog voltage from 0-5VDC for X and Y axis output and a momentary "ON" trigger achieved by clicking directly on the joystick hat. The Arduino interface for these outputs is straightforward to implement. Example joystick code: http://tinyurl.com/qcfvatr To print the two housing parts, orient them so that their flat sides face the printer bed. For printing in PLA, a brim but no other support structure may be necessary.
