Mini JoyStick

This is a miniature joystick I created for my small Retro Pie arcade console project that I'm working on. The return-to-center springs are printed with PETG, which works much better than ABS. It's designed to work with 6x6x5mm Momentary Tactile Tact Push Button switches. I used Brass Plated Mini Screws - 8mm for this build. You can find them at Hobby Lobby. Here are some videos that showcase the joystick in action: https://youtu.be/ZRN0zKmOErw, https://youtu.be/UQ_ek3VQpmk. I made some updates to the joystick design on August 26th to prevent it from moving too much and make it easier to align. I added range limiters and alignment holes to the top. On August 29th, I improved the diagonal operation by raising the push buttons .2mm, reducing the range limiters .2mm, and tapering the posts on the bottom. I also made some changes to the switch hole in the bottom of the joystick on August 31st. I rotated two of the holes so they're all the same distance from the center as the other two. On September 6th, I encountered some issues with the joystick's operation and decided to remove the pegs from the top and use screws instead. I also modified the bottom and actuator to have a ball shape for smoother operation. If you like my work and want to encourage me to keep sharing free 3D printing designs, consider tipping me.
