
Mini Iambic Magnetic Morse Paddle

Mini Iambic Magnetic Morse Paddle is designed for portable or SOTA operation. The original design was made by Vojta OK1IAK, and I made some changes to it. There is an OpenScad source available, which you can modify if you like. Material needed: Bearing 604-2Z or 604-Z, 4x12x4 mm, 2 pieces Neodym magnets, 5x2mm, 2 pieces Headless M3x5 screw, 2 pieces M4x15 mm screw, 1 piece M4 washer, 2 pieces 2 mm bullet connector, 1 piece 5 pin connector (V1) 3.5 mm audio socket (V2) Two small pieces from brass sheet for contacts (0.1-0.2mm thick) are replaced by small gold plated PCB in V2. Some thin wires are also needed. Use super glue to fix parts. Added magnetic base - uses 1 piece 5x2 magnet and 2 pieces of 8x3 magnets, on February 5, 2016. Added cable fixing on November 11, 2019. Version with standard 3.5 mm JACK is added - base_v2.stl, and base-mag-v2 using 2 pieces 12x2 and 1 piece 5x2 neodym magnets. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 50-100% Notes: Use 50% infill for the base. Use 100% infill for paddles. Post-Printing: Drill holes for M3 thread with a 2.4 mm drill, and M4 with a 3.5 mm drill. Make threads in plastic carefully!
