Mini Hydroelectric Turbine
thingiverse
In my thermodynamics class project, I created a miniature water turbine using a spare 1.25" diameter DC motor. It took approximately six hours to print all the parts, primarily due to the time-consuming .1mm thick run for the turbine blade. Some parts needed sanding to fit together due to warping. The assembled turbine was fused with a soldering iron and extra plastic filament. A 3/4" tube was attached to the top, along with a water hose connection. The turbine generated about 5 volts when powered by a partially opened water hose and around 10 volts when blown into, which may not be highly impressive.
