Mini Garbage Can Lid Redesign for Better Print Quality
thingiverse
This redesign of Stamchiller's Mini Trash Can allows you to print the entire project without any supports anywhere besides under the little nubs on the lid that act as a handle. (see pictures)I had horrible print quality when using supports on either orientation for the lid (see pictures) so I redesigned the underside of the lid to print flat to the bed and require no supports, while still having a groove to sit over the lip on the body of the can.I also made the arms on the lid print flat to the bed as well, just like some of the other ease of print Remixes on this Thing, eliminating the need for supports under them as well.See print settings for detailed instructions on how to change support settings.Print the lid with the handle facing up and supports only under the nubs and, if desired, increase resolution along top contours.Print the body with the opening facing up with no supports.Print the Wheels with the wheel down and the axle up. After printing, hold the axle with pliers if necessary and spin the wheel. You may need to add a dab of hot glue or super glue to the axles of the wheels.
