Mini FPV Tricopter This thing is a work in progress and may get updated over time as I experiment with different motor/esc combinations. Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, a professional 3D computer-aided design (CAD) tool. To build this tricopter, you will need three 2204 or 1806 motors, high-speed DC motors optimized for first-person view (FPV) applications. Five-inch or six-inch propellers designed for mini FPV drones are also required. The Savox SH-0257MG servo provides precise control and reliability for a wide range of FPV flight modes. Carbon fibre tubes with 6mm diameter, cut to 150mm length for arms x3, add lightweight strength and stability to the design. A power distribution board helps manage the flow of electrical current between the ESCs, motors, and other components in the drone. A five-volt (5v) universal bus enthusiast computer (UBEC) ensures stable power delivery when using DYS electronic speed controllers (ESCs). Three high-performance 20A BLHeli ESC's from DYS, specifically designed for FPV flight, provide reliable control over motor speed and efficiency. Naze32 or Mini KK2/Mini APM flight controller boards are required to process flight data and send control signals to the motors. I use a Naze32 board; however, if you choose a different flight controller board other than Naze32, do not print out the cover plate as it only fits Naze32 boards. For users employing 1806 motors, printing spacers for the front arms is necessary. This design is specifically created for Mobius action camera systems and 1000mAh 3S Li-Po batteries used in mini FPV drones. Additional features include landing gear adapter compatibility with universal landing legs on all types of aircraft and tricopters. When printing the top plate, the wide screw holes or counterbores need to be on the bottom layer otherwise it won’t securely bolt onto the top half due to space constraints
