Mini fin for tbs crossfire race antenna
thingiverse
This is a minimalist shark fin - AKA anti-turtle fin. It's specifically designed for the crossfire race PCB antenna. If you don't insert the race antenna into this fin, the fin becomes virtually useless due to its extreme flexibility. Print in TPU with 20-30% infill. Slots are provided for zip ties. This design prioritizes light weight over durability, resulting in a finished product weighing approximately 4g or less. The fin is extremely snug, but as you can see, the entire PCB antenna fits into the slot, including the heat shrink. It's likely that tools will be necessary to insert the antenna and/or warm up the print. A combination of small needle nose pliers, tweezers, and a hex driver were used to gently push the antenna into place. A step is included inside the fin to accommodate the solder ball and heat shrink. When inserting the antenna, be careful not to get hung up on this step. Refer to the cutaway drawing with the step highlighted in red for clarification. The solder ball on the antenna should face forward. Use at your own risk! The snug fit ensures that the antenna doesn't slip during a crash.
