When buying high-priced filaments that come in smaller quantities, they often don't include a spool. Many spools are too bulky to fit on filament mounts - and once you've used up a significant amount of filament, having a massive spool takes up too much space. I needed a spool that was easy and quick to load and compactly stored (my Dreamer is on my sailboat and space is always tight on boats). This spool is designed to hang from the internal spool mount for the Dreamer but will probably work for others with minor or no modification. Instructions Since I required a spool, I created one myself by drawing it up and printing it. This spool prints in two parts - attempting to print as one single piece would take much more time on most filament printers because of the excessive support needed. I used Loctite Plastic Bonder to join mine together and they slide easily into place due to the center notch on the spindle. The photo shows approximately 1/8kg of Laywoo-d3 loaded onto a mounted spool in the Dreamer. The included ".c4d" file is the Cinema4D scene file I used to design the spool.
