Update 5/2018: I have added a second version of the main part which is 10mm longer. This mini x-carriage upgrade kit is designed as a direct replacement for swapping out the original V3 extruder with a standard E3D V6 or V6 clone on a Renkforce RF500 - it can also be used to attach any standard linear rail. As an added bonus, this upgrade will increase the Z-axis to 200mm - which means you'll need to either unmount or rebuild the Z-endstop for the hotend to reach the print bed. After making the replacement, you'll be able to tweak the maximum print area to 220x150x200. (Edit 24/5/2018: 200mm in the Z-direction is pretty close to the physical limits of the printer. You may reduce it by a few mm below 200mm to avoid accidentally reaching the lower limit of the lead screw.) To assemble this kit, you'll need to print and attach the following components: 1) "e3d mount main part" - always required 2) "e3d mount clamp" - choose either with or without integrated fan mount 3) "cable mgmt" - this component can be used to tie cables to the carriage. I personally prefer to stick a piece of stiff wire into the hole and secure the cables there with a zip-tie. 4) "e3d sensor mount" - you must use the sn04 type of sensor because a standard inductive sensor will be too big for the RF500 (For the sake of completeness, a standard sensor mount is included in the collection). 5) "e3d fan mount" - choose the one that fits your fan. The standard part cooling fan on the RF500 is a 25mm fan. You'll need some M3 and M2 screws and nuts: 1) 6 x M3x16 and 2 x M3 nuts, 2 x M2x12 and 4 x M2 nuts 2) 2 x M3x16 and 2 x M3 nuts, 4 x M3x14 for the hotend fan 3) 2 x M3x12, 2 x M3x20 and 2 x M3 nuts 4) 2 x M3x12 and either 4 x M2x14 for the 25mm fan or 4 x M3x14 for the 30mm fan
