This was designed because the standard metal motor mount only covers about 20mm of the horizontal mounting plate's length. Consequently, the motor thrust angle can easily become misaligned, and with the correx winglets in place, it's difficult to verify proper alignment. This custom mount spans the entire width of the horizontal mounting plate, and I've experienced no issues with thrust angle since installing it. It is recommended to print this mount in ABS or PETG for optimal results. If needed, you can reconfigure this design by sliding it forward or backward and removing excess material using a dremmel. However, compromising on support over the entire mounting plate would weaken its overall structure.
