Mini dobson telescope

Mini dobson telescope

Little version of a dobsonian telescope, modelled from my GSO 10". Pretty obvious that this is not functional, isn't it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FTRPOutcSs Superglue is required to assemble all the pieces together. Also, if you want if to be able to operate it along the altitude movement, use 4 magnets (⌀ 3 x 1.3 mm) between the pieces called "Telescope_lateral_thing" and "Telescope_bearing". Some of the pieces will need to be printed twice. Orient them as you like, everything can be printed without support. Maybe just from the finder will need support, if you chose the single piece instead of the split version. *** Glue a coin to the bottom of the OTA, under the mirror *** This will shift the center of mass down the telescope, allowing you to balance the tube nicely. Gem: the primary mirror is actually modelled in a parabolic shape. I wrapped it in aluminum foil to give the impression of a real mirror Improvements are appreciated and encouraged. Since I designed this model (more than 2 years ago) I bought a resin printer. It would be nice to add very small details such a better finder, focuser, cameras and even a small set of eyepieces!
