This is part 2 of the Replicator 2/2X DuetWifi Upgrade series. Part 1,3 and 4 can be found here: - Part 1: DuetWifi Installation and PanelDue Mount (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2428995) - Part 2: Mini Differential IR Probe mount for Replicator 2X (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2475179) - Part 3: DuetWifi Configuration files for Replicator 2X (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2475257) - Part 4: Simplify3D Slicer Configuration for the Replicator 2X (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2476695) - Part 5: Endstop adapter for inductive z probe instead of the IR probe (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2954398) This mount attaches the DC42 Mini Differential IR Probe to the Makerbot Replicator 2X extruder carriage with ease. In addition to the IR Probe and the mount, you will need a 2mm longer M3 screw to replace the standard issue screw. Refer to the pictures for guidance on securing it (the component side should face away from the hot end). Given that there is just enough space beneath the carriage to fit the sensor board, you must solder the three cables directly to the sensor board instead of using the supplied pin header. For this purpose, I recommend using 24AWG silicone cable and route these up between the hotend and fans. Adjust the distance between the hotend and carriage if necessary to achieve proper clearance between the probe and hotend. Note: Tested with the Raffle AluCarriage Dual but should work with the stock Makerbot carriage as well.
