Mini Desktop Mobile Tool Box

Mini Desktop Mobile Tool Box

thingiverse

This is my submission for the Autodesk Fusion 360 Challenge presented by Maker Bot. The main goal behind my design for this challenge was to create a small tool box that holds various tools associated with a 3D printing or any commonly used tools at one's workstation. Designers, makers, tinkerers, and others often find themselves rearranging objects on their desks to feel less cluttered and more comfortable. Now with the Mini Desktop Mobile Tool Box, anyone can store a few tools in one organized place. When it's not being used, it can be rotated off to the side of one's desk, freeing up more space for work. UPDATE (6/15/2019) I have printed all the parts and they work great! The hinge can be a little tricky but once it slides into place, it works just fine. One thing to note is to be careful with the front clip that keeps the lid shut; I used PLA and it flexes just enough but if not careful may break easily. Older Version: Please Note. I currently have not printed this model due to other obligations limiting my time. I have set it up in Simplify 3D and will print as soon as possible. Within the model, all tolerances should work just fine, but have not yet been tested. As soon as I can print, I will post the settings. UPDATE (6/6/2019): I added the Clamp Arm Right stl file realizing I forgot to upload it when I originally uploaded the others. Sorry for any inconvenience. Another update will be posted soon as I've changed the design now that the design challenge deadline was extended.
