This is a cover designed specifically for your mini cut-off tool, allowing you to install up to a 3" diameter blade on a standard 2" cut-off tool. I'm extremely disappointed in my inability to find a cut-off tool that strikes the perfect balance between being loud enough and not too small. The current tool falls short of cutting through most materials, and the installed 3" diamond-cut blade is around $30 each - I think a 2-1/2" diameter blade would be a better fit, which is why I've ordered some. Knowing now that this cover will allow me to cut up to 3" if needed, I can stick with 2 or 2-1/2" for standard cuts. The standard issue blade has a remarkably smooth face cut, and the blades it's intended for are genuinely impressive - just a hair short of meeting my expectations.
