Another essential accessory for your backpack. I detest knotted masses of rope and cordage even more than a solid kick to the groin. As someone who prefers to hike lightly, this little gadget helps me achieve that goal by adding just a few grams back on. This winder boasts a space to begin a loop end or micro hook, a boat-style cleat on the side for securing the bitter end, and numerous cutouts for removing excess material. I designed it slightly undersized for mono-filament use, but I adjust the print bed scale to suit whatever size and length of twine or cord I'm working with. The photo above shows about 20 feet of ridge line coiled up.
