Mini Chango
myminifactory
Mini Chango is a desk decoration and conversation piece that pokes fun at the infamous "chango" bird, a ubiquitous presence in Puerto Rico seen by both tourists and locals alike throughout the island. This bird also serves as a representation of Puerto Rican culture, as author Magali Garcia Ramis explores in her book "El chango como pájaro nacional". Interacting with it is a meditative exercise that promotes acceptance on personal, national or social levels. Mini Chango seamlessly blends humor, classic design inspired by Kristian Vedel's Bird, technology and the distinctive Caribbean aesthetic. PRINTING: All pieces can be printed simultaneously with any setting; however, for optimal results: Print the head with black filament using a 30% infill, two shells and layer height of 20mm or less, including rafts and supports. Print the body with black filament at a 5% infill, two shells and a 20mm or less layer height, also including rafts and supports. Print the eyes with yellow filament using the same settings as the body. ASSEMBLY After removing the rafts and supports, insert the eyes into the eye socket of the head piece. Place the head in the pocket on the body. Move the head around to enjoy!
