Mini case for LNA4All low noise amplifier for RTL-SDR radio
thingiverse
If you work with RTL-SDR dongles, you've probably heard of the LNA4All low noise amplifier, which goes between your antenna and the dongle. This small device can significantly improve signal reception, particularly with cheap antennas that come with the dongle. As it comes as a bare board device, I designed this little case for it. Considering it's still a work in progress, I need to test whether it generates heat that would require cooling holes or other modifications. Once tested, I'll refine the design. The LNA4All needs a 6-12V power source. For now, I've attached it to a 9V battery or 4-6 AA battery pack for power. In the future, I might redesign with an integrated battery compartment or even a single case for the RTL-SDR dongle and the LNA4All. A little cutout at the top left of the design accommodates power wires that connect to solder pads just below it. I also designed a version with a vented lid. I'll test both designs soon.
