<h3>Mini cargo cage for bicycle fork</h3><h5>Easy to print and lightweight cargo cage for the fork of your bicycle. Parametric design!</h5><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I needed two cargo cages for a longer trip with my mountain bike, but didn't like the heavy and large designs I found for sale.. So I fitty jippy'd my own <strong>minimalistic </strong>and <strong>lightweight (~50g) </strong>design in Fusion 360!&nbsp;</p><p>For my suppose (lightweight and small baggage) I use just one of them on each side of my fork. But for bigger ones you could just use 2 or 3 of them in a row.</p><p>I do recommend hose clamps to assemble them to your bike fork and tension belts <i>(≤ 30mm width) </i>to secure the baggage.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Idea:</strong> I think they could also be mounted to the handle bar, but I didn't have time to test this yet. If you are going to try this, please post some pictures of your make here! :)&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Cause of all those different fork diameters, I added an <strong>parametric fusion file</strong> so you can simply adjust it to your needed size by changing the “<i>fork_diameter</i>”. You can also change the “<i>cargo_diameter</i>” to make it even more custom! &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h5>Update 04.03.2022</h5><p>There is a sperate bottom part coming soon, to support the baggage better and prevent it from sliding down. You can already see my first construction in the gallery.</p><h5>Update 05.03.2022</h5><p>I've added the .stl and parametric fusion files for the bottom part. Simply modify diameter, length and width to your needs by changing the parameters.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h5>recommended print settings:</h5><ul><li>layer height: 0.2 mm</li><li>perimeters: 3&nbsp;</li><li>infill: 30%</li><li>supports: none</li><li>material: TPU</li></ul><p>Works also with PETG or ASA (PLA is strong enough too, but it's not ideal for outdoor use) but you should adjust perimeters and infill, depending on the weight you would like to mount to it. And carefully tighten the tension belts to prevent breaking it.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Send me a private message if you have any trouble customizing the cargo cage or if you have any other questions.
