A compact camera mount designed for secure attachment to a remote-controlled airplane or jet's vertical stabilizer. Initially created for the Freewing 90mm F-22, this versatile mount can likely be adapted for use with most models featuring a V-style horizontal stabilizer. To accommodate standard 90° horizontal stabilizers not angled at V, simply flip the mount upside down to adjust the angles. Proper functionality of these mounts requires installation of an opposing magnet or sheet metal within the horizontal stabilizer. For my setup, I utilized the CMS magnetics version mount and paired it with a smaller Freewing magnet in my horizontal stabilizer. To ensure optimal results, print this design using supports and choose your preferred material. It is crucial that magnets are securely glued to prevent damage to their surface. F-22_Cam Mount_FreewingMags1 and F-22_Cam Mount_FreewingMags2 are created for use with magnets typically found in Freewing EDF jets for mounting ordnance, canopies, etc. While these alternate versions are not available individually, I have made them available for those who may already possess spare magnets from crashed kits or unused ordnance. The first file is designed for a single magnet, while the second accommodates two stacked magnets for stronger holding. For added convenience and reduced wear on foam surfaces when installing and removing cameras and mounts, consider printing cylindrical holes (F-22 Cam Mount hole.stl) or round-faced mounting points (F-22 Cam Mount hole with face.stl). Keep in mind that this mount relies on magnetic force. While I have personally tested the version with CMS magnets and Mobius mini and Firefly cameras, I cannot guarantee these mounts will hold securely. Additionally, you will need to rebalance your model's center of gravity (CG) or it may experience tail heaviness or other issues. Use these mounts at your own risk and be aware that you assume all responsibility for your model and any potential camera loss.
