Be sure to stop the print process after the first layer when working on the "bristles" file. Once you've collected the bristles from the build plate, carefully trim them down to size and then join them together. A straightforward way to do this is by melting the ends of the bristles using a soldering iron. After completing your bristles, place them within the brush. For secure adhesion, I opted for both a soldering iron to "weld" the bristles in place as well as some super glue. Finally, join the two halves of the brush together, making sure it's a snug fit - slight sanding might be required.
