Please watch this video for more information: https://youtu.be/l2K7Q7JWhb0. This loot chest from Borderlands is a small replica I created, and I chose to make it compact because I had limited desk space and only wanted to store some SD cards in it. You can easily scale up the size if you prefer, but scaling down may not be as effective. Everything should work perfectly at larger sizes. I printed this model on my Robo 3D using PLA with a 0.1mm layer height to capture all the intricate details. I used minimal support for the lid, mainly for the handle, and a bit more for the connectors on the back of the body. To prevent warping, I added a raft, but in retrospect, it may have been excessive, so I don't recommend using one. The infill density doesn't greatly impact this design, but I opted for 20% to add some depth. My wife helped with the painting process, starting with a coat of white spray primer. She then used water-based acrylic paints and brushes to carefully paint all the details on the chest. Finally, she applied a gloss coating to give it a subtle shine. Thanks for taking a look! I hope you enjoy this miniature loot chest from Borderlands.
