My kid is an avid NBA enthusiast and when he can't hit the courts, he spends hours dunking on commercial mini hoops in his bedroom. Unfortunately, none of them can withstand the constant stress and inevitably break apart quickly. The latest victim was a Mini B Playground Red set from Decathlon, with only the ball escaping destruction intact. I decided to create a printable 3D hoop designed specifically for the ball's diameter and capable of withstanding stresses using a hinge and spring. Having the 3D models allows me to print spare parts in case of breakage. The spring has an external diameter of 10mm, a wire diameter of 2mm, and is approximately 30mm long.
