Mini Basketball Launchpad (3/4" Diameter)
thingiverse
Disclaimer: Successfully printed using PLA, with impressive results (I'm confident that ABS will not deliver due to its rigidity, making it unsuitable for flinging the ball). Included Pcode and STL files are available for use. The Pcode worked flawlessly with my Kodama Trinus printer by printing with the edge flat on the print bed. Makers may experiment with PETG/ Nylon/ Ryno at their own risk. For any questions or concerns, please shoot an email to asimjian@gmail.com. I'm more than happy to share the original Solidworks part if you'd like to modify the design as well. Just let me know how you prefer me to save the file for your use. Hi everyone, I drew inspiration from the sourced Ping Pong Basketball Hoop by jacobaabbott found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1141470 The original design was modified from the launchpad found here, courtesy of awille: https://www.thingiverse.com/awille/about I searched 3/4 inch diameter balls on ebay and discovered these Premium Birch Hardwood Balls sold by MooreSales. I purchased 10, but they come in packs of 25,100, etc. https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Hardwood-Balls-Solid-Birch-Wood-Ball-3-4-Inch-Dia-0-75-in-19-05-mm/191823811746?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I thoroughly enjoy having these on my desk at work or at home as unique items. Have fun printing your own!
