Mini automatic fish feeder
thingiverse
Part of my upcoming smart aquarium project, currently in the testing and documentation phase. The automatic fish feeder dispenser was inspired by a great design on Thingiverse, but after printing I found it to be too big so I optimized it for size while maintaining functionality. The servo rotates at 45 degrees, with driving and programming details left out as they will be covered in the aquarium controlling device description. An inner working video is available at https://youtu.be/UABZSY70E4A. This is the first version, with two potential upgrades already planned. I hope to create sketches, test through 3D printing, and publish them online soon. The first upgrade would allow for adjustable granule dispensing by turning a wheel, which I think would be compatible with this initial print. The second upgrade would involve larger funnels, possibly including a design element like the above example's thread to fit small PET bottles. More intriguingly, one version of the funnel could feature a sensor that detects when feed is running low. I'm considering using an IR LED and LDR sensor for this, but need to check the basic concept before making changes. That's all for now, enjoy! ### If You liked my work, You can buy me a coffee :). ### Or send some crypto
