Mini Apollo Mission
thingiverse
A miniature version of Emmet's Apollo Mission was created by scaling down the original model to 30%. To achieve this small size, several modifications were made: the spindly lander legs were reinforced for added stability, the rocket nozzles were solidified to prevent breakage, and the service ring was combined with the service module. This fusion included adding radial beam trusses to provide necessary support during printing - see http://pics-about-space.com/apollo-service-module?p=4#img15413448471077531127 for reference. The pins were replaced with built-in pegs to simplify assembly. While the ascent module requires printing with support, all other parts can be printed without additional structural assistance. Tinkercad was used to modify Emmet's STL files and achieve this miniature version of the Apollo Mission.
