Mini 3D-printable crossbow

myminifactory

I created this mini crossbow just for fun, allowing me to shoot at things with toothpicks. The springs used in my crossbow come from a large spring that snapped off an old wind-up clock. I used a wire lying around the house, and the arrows are made of toothpicks. My mini crossbow measures about 55mm by 42mm and is 12mm high. All parts were printed with my HE 3D Reprap Prusa I3. The design is entirely mine. The spring dimensions are roughly 0.5mm thick, 8mm wide, and 35mm in diameter. You can find more information about this project on Hackaday.io, project number 28562: Mini 3D Printable Crossbow. A video of the crossbow firing toothpicks at 240 frames per second is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QDyIyO7Lxw All my project files, instructions, and schematics are provided for free so anyone around the world can enjoy them.
