I embarked on an exhaustive engineering study to craft a flawless hook that would precisely match the remote of the DJI Mini 2 / Mavic Air 2, allowing me to securely attach my iPad Mini. Utilizing both an iPad Mini 4 and an iPad Mini 5 for precise sizing enabled me to achieve this goal. This ingenious design actually clicks onto the remote with ease, staying firmly in place without any additional support. The hook's calculated length provides just the right amount of spring-loaded extension on the remote stem, generating enough tension to hold the iPad securely in place without over-stretching the springs. The attachment and removal process is remarkably simple, making it easy to store away whenever needed. To perfect this design, I went through approximately five iterations, with each test print revealing the need for further refinements. This challenging project turned out to be an enjoyable experience. I printed the hook at a 0.1mm layer height without any supports and was pleased to find that I didn't require a brim to ensure it adhered properly to the bed.
