Mineral vase

thingiverse

Hello everyone, I'd like to share a vase that I designed to resemble a Quartz crystal in both appearance and structure. What draws me to this vase is its innovative use of the FDM process, which allows for unique effects to be achieved. When printing at resolutions above 0.24mm, the top layers of the "nubs" separate from each other, creating drooping protuberances that evoke a crystal-like texture. I find this effect particularly striking. On the other hand, when printing at resolutions below 0.12mm (dependent on printer specifications), these droops disappear, leaving a smooth and unified surface. Overall, I highly recommend printing this vase due to its exceptional quality. To facilitate this process, I've included gcode for 0.24mm in the user print files section, as well as 0.08mm under the main section.
