Minelab Equinox 800 - 600 Coil Yoke Stiffener and Repair Yoke
thingiverse
After a coil Yoke mount broke when out detecting with my NOX, that seems to be a common fault with the coils. I decided to make my own yoke stiffeners to prevent this from happening again. One fits the 11 & 15 inch coils and one for the 6 inch coil. I also made a version for anyone who has a broken Yoke already. It uses two cable ties to fix the repair plate in place. To fit, simply disassemble the coil from the steam, put the repair plate in place, and secure it around the coil body with two five millimeter cable ties. Reassemble the coil back onto the shaft, placing the broken Yoke tab in place to get the right spacing. If you don't use the stiffeners as a preventive measure, you might want to just have the repair version handy to get you out of trouble. I added a file for a 10 millimeter extra long eight millimeter cross bolt. This is to compensate for the extra thick Yoke side cheeks if required. For the bolt, I used zero point two hot end and set it in Cura to Super Quality profile one hundred percent fill and supports touching build plate.
