Minecraft Office Building in Solidworks
thingiverse
This project could spark a child's interest in mastering Solidworks. I used an image of a typical office building from the Minecraft book "Block City" as inspiration. Each block represents a 1-inch cube, so significant scaling adjustments will be necessary for 3D printing purposes. To bring this concept to life, I employed several steps: Firstly, I imported the Block City image into Solidworks and removed any unnecessary features that would not be suitable for a 3D print model. Next, I used the "Split" feature in Solidworks to divide the building's structure into separate components, enabling me to make adjustments to each section as needed. I then employed the "Extrude" feature to add depth to specific areas of the design and created fillets to round off sharp edges.
