Minecraft Nightlight
thingiverse
I designed a custom nightlight for my young daughter. I utilize Adafruit Neopixel LEDs in combination with an Adafruit Pro Trinket, which is essentially an Arduino controller, to control the LED lights themselves. In addition to that setup, I also incorporated a BLE chip to allow remote control of the nightlight via an iPhone or iPad device. This feature allows my daughter's mom to easily select different colors and animations from their smartphone to create an immersive experience for my little girl. The detailed design specifications include: Printing the outer casing at 1.5 times its original size to provide sufficient structural integrity. Meanwhile, the base should be printed in one-to-one scale without any scaling factor applied. It's essential to activate support structures for both the box and the base to prevent print failures due to bridging issues or other defects during printing. Finally, note that the screw holes on this model are sized specifically for use with 4-40 screws for secure assembly and easy mounting.
