Minecraft CO2 Detector
thingiverse
I mixed up several things to create a Minecraft styled CO2 (carbon dioxide) detector. The portal matrix LED shows the air quality and reminds to open the window. The thing is based on these things: Minecraft Grass Box https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4541840 Minecraft Steve https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:493722 Minecraft Chicken https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:38021 Minecraft Chest https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:255894 Minecraft Portal Necklace https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:313992 All things instead of the portal where used as is and just scaled in Cura. The box was flattened to 7cm and the gadgets like steve or the chicken where scaled by 50% on demand in Cura. The chest was scaled to fit to the detector. Only the portal was overworked so I could put a LED Matrix in the center. The portal is splitted in two files and attached here. So you could easily adjust it to your needs or glue it together as I did. Please do a draft print before, depending on the matrix board you maybe need some adjustment in the portal. The holes for the USB plug, switch and the button were drilled after print. If you need a none-round hole I would suggest to add it to the design before print. The final solution includes an Ardunio Nano running with a battery in the box. The CO2 detector MH-Z19 lays in the chest and a matrix MAX7219 is jammed in the portal. Depending on the CO2 quality the portal shows a smiley (smile, neutral and sad) and a "window open" animation when it is time to let fresh air inside. An optional button can be pushed to show the current CO2 value as a digit. The source code can be found here https://github.com/pduck27/CO2NanoDetector
With this file you will be able to print Minecraft CO2 Detector with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Minecraft CO2 Detector.
