Mine for Scythe
thingiverse
I'm excited to show off the second building I've created for the popular board game Scythe. This time around, I got to design the Mine entrance, which was a blast to work on! I built it entirely from scratch in Blender and used some clever forced perspective tricks to make it look like it's way deeper than it actually is. I'm really thrilled with how the model turned out, even if I'm still figuring out how to get a paintbrush into those tight spaces to add some color. The sign on the building reads "приватний", which means "private" in Ukrainian - a fitting choice since no other player can use your mine in the game. To make each nation's mine stand out, I plan to paint the signs with their respective colors. It'll be easy to tell whose is whose. I printed the model without any issues or support needed. The horizontal beams do have a tiny bit of sag on the bottom layers due to bridging, but it looks great despite that minor flaw. If you're interested in seeing more Scythe upgrades, I've posted some photos on my blog at http://objectforge.blogspot.com/p/scythe-upgrades.html.
