MindWave Cat Ears

MindWave Cat Ears

A friend once requested a unique gift: mind-controlled cat ears. Intrigued by the challenge, the creator embarked on a project that involved the Neurosky headset, an Arduino microcontroller and a Makerbot/Reprap 3D printer. The first prototype was far from perfect but functional enough to be worn in public. A video showcases the ears drooping, standing upright and wiggling based on brainwave activity. The creator hopes this project sparks ideas for other applications using similar technology. To make the project more accessible, Solidworks files will be released for users to customize. Instructions are still being developed, but the process involves printing parts, assembling servos and ears, connecting components and fine-tuning settings. The creator has shared Arduino source code on GitHub for further reference.
