"Best hello-ween part ever," Bob said to himself. Throwing clothes around his apartment, Bob made his way to his bedroom and flopped down onto the bed. Giving a happy sigh, staring at the ceiling, he slowly closed his eyes and drifted off into a contented sleep. All the while, unaware that a strange diminutive eye stared at him from the window ledge. The small creature kept to the shadows as it watched the human lay down on its bed. The creature's growing hunger and primal needs almost sent it flying at the human. But, having escaped its cruel master, wandered the streets, and had a particularly nasty run-in with an alley cat. It kept its cool until the human's chest rose and fell in the constant rhythm of sleep. It could not afford to spend any more energy. It had not fed in many years. Slowly, it crept over to the sleeping human and made its way up on the bed. With the lightest of steps, the creature climbed up the human’s leg and slowly inched its way toward the human’s face. Just below his neck, the creature paused as the human snorted and raised its head to look at the creature.Having felt like something was crawling on him, Bob snorted and raised his head in the haze of sleep. Helplessly, Bob was taken in by the small eye flashing gentle colors on his chest. Bob knew he should be afraid but felt a tingly warm feeling. Instantly, the feeling was gone when Bob tried to move and found that he could not. His heart pounded as he struggled to no avail. Bob could only scream in his head as the thing crept up his chin and stopped over his mouth.A long tail whipped out from behind the creature. Bobs eyes widened as the end of the tail came into view. Not the end of a normal tail but, a small mouth lined with tiny needle-like teeth. He tried to scream and smack the evil creature away but, could only watch as the tail wriggled its way up his right nostril. Bob moaned in terror as if trapped in a nightmare, hearing and feeling the small mouth bore its way into his head.Having its fill of the human’s brains the creature removed its appendage and seemed to shiver and flash in bright colors for several seconds. Slowly it dragged its engorged body over the nose, it had one more need to fulfill.Bob helplessly watched as the creature finished its meal then drag itself over his nose. He watched as it began to flash bright colors and almost hum. No longer did he try to scream but, only watched in horror as he realized what was happening.Bob woke with a stifled scream in the morning and immediately put his hand to his head. “Oh god! What was in that punch,” Bob whispered. Making his way to his feet, he cringed as there was a loud pounding on his front door. Bob rushed to the door to stop the cruel noise. Boom, boom, boom, came the knock again. Almost to the door, Bob half yelled, “Ok, ok I’m coming, stop pounding on the door, I have a bad hangover.” Unlocking and yanking the door open without a thought Bob stared at a grey-bearded man with dark eyes, in what looked like the oldest blue suit he had ever seen. Before Bob could say anything else the man said, “It isn’t a hangover, we should talk.”
