Minature holder/transport

When I first got my 3D printer, I started printing miniatures for my DND games only to discover that a shopping bag often breaks some of them. So, I had to come up with an alternative way to transport them. I made a "briefcase" out of MDF, which would fit a layered miniature holder. Limited by the size of my print bed, I designed them in a size where I could glue the side holders to the sides of the case and the center risers in the middle of each one. The risers and outer supports have a pattern at the same height that allows you to slide in the trays. The size of these trays is very specific to the case I used, so it might be better to use this as inspiration for your own build. The tray for medium creatures can hold up to 5 miniatures per lane. The large trays hold 2.5 large creatures per lane and also have a lane for medium-sized creatures. On the side with the handle on the case, I glued rings to the inside where I used some wire to secure those trays in place. This makes it a little harder to access the miniatures stored on that side but prevents the trays from sliding during transport (also using wire to fix the spacing between the two supports of the center riser). The trays in the back are then secured to the ones in front using clips. Overall, it's not a perfect solution, but it works for me so far. Since people on Facebook asked for the files, I figured I might as well upload them. I hope they will be helpful to you and I look forward to seeing how people make good use of them or create their own versions.
