Minature Block Statue
sketchfab
GV 214 Faience On loan from the City of Grevenbroich 13 mm x 7 mm x 5 mm Late Period (Probably 26th Dynasty) A tiny Cuboid/Block Statue, one of many ancient Egyptian private funerary statues found in miniature form. However, such small versions are extremely rare (only two in bronze at the Louvre and one at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden), but also known from other statue types of the era. This miniature statue features a small eyelet on its back-pillar allowing it to be worn as an amulet. The distinctive style of the wig suggests a 26th Dynasty origin. Crafted by David Sabel.
