prusaprinters
This is my variation of the quite common T12 soldering station using power tool batteries. The bottom battery adapter can be exchanged with any other adapter for other battery systems, just make sure the cable channels and the locating pins are in the same place. The following non-printed parts were used:1 x 16mm latching push button switch (min. 24VDC 3A) 2 x 6.3mm Spade connectors 2 x 15cm 1,3mm² (16AWG) wire 1 x T12 chinese Soldering Station module with face plate (38x88mm) 4 x M2.5x6mm Screws 1 x 2mm drill bitAssembly:Crimp the spade connectors to the wires and feed through battery adapter.Use the spade wedges to fix the spade connectors in place. Manually cut the wedge to lenght to suit your spade connectors.Feed the cables back into and then up the battery adapter towards the top part.(OPTIONAL) close the holes at the back of the battery adapter with the plugs.Feed the cables in to the top part and then attach the top part to the adapter with super glue or similar adhesive.Wire up the switch and electronics module.Drill 2mm holes through the module front plate into the top part.Use M2.5 screws to fix the module to the top part.
