Milwakuee M18/Porter Cable 18V Adapter
thingiverse
Hack-y remix based on wingnutbren's "Porter Cable 20V max to 18v adapter" (thing:3384233) as well as AgentGene's "M18 to black & decker 18v adapter" (thing:2882736), to connect Milwaukee M18 batteries to older 18V (NiCad) Porter-Cable tools. I did a crude slice-and-join to graft AgentGene's M18 section to wingnutbren's Porter Cable 18V section to make what I needed, with a little cleanup to make it look decent. I received a hand-me-down PC 18V cordless angle grinder with a dead battery and no charger. Buying a battery and charger for it is more than I want to spend for something I need as infrequently as a <i>cordless</i>angle grinder, plus having to maintain a second (outdated) battery ecosystem for one tool when I have a range of M18 Milwaukee tools already. I did my print in ABS because that's what loaded in the printer right now. My print was done with "Porter Cable Tool" side down orientation. It lifted off the bed and warped, but it still functioned with a little post-processing and since I don't particularly care about cosmetics in this instanceI didn't print another. The adapter will live in the tool full-time, might even epoxy it in place to make sure it doesn't loosen over time. Harvesting a connector from the Porter-Cable battery is a must with this design.
