The Black Kite. Milvus migrans, to be precise. First described by Boddaert in 1783. A bird of striking appearance, with a distinctive black plumage that sets it apart from its peers. Found in various parts of the world, including Spain, where this specimen was spotted in La Noguera, Lleida on August 19th, 2005. Measured at 56mm in depth and 36.6mm in width, the pelvis of a male adult Black Kite is a notable feature. Designated as MZB 2006-0263 for future reference, this specimen's data will undoubtedly prove valuable in understanding the behavior and habits of these magnificent birds.
