This is a custom silencer I created to fit snugly on the stock barrel of the Milsig M17 CQC. It's a precise press fit with super close tolerances. I made it that way for two main reasons: so it won't fall off during play, and because there's a cavity inside the silencer that might help reduce loudness. The barrel needs to be perfectly aligned so the paintball or FS round can pass through without crashing, which is why it's designed to fit tightly. I highly recommend printing this silencer in PETG for several reasons: first, it's incredibly strong and can withstand rough handling; second, it's more flexible than PLA, which reduces the risk of cracking when press fitting. I've tested it on my own marker, and while it does slightly reduce loudness by deepening the sound, it's not a true silencer - there are some legal issues surrounding silencers even in paintball. However, it may alter the sound. There are three versions available: one with an open cavity, another with ribs for baffling, and a third 2-piece version where you can experiment with wadding to create a more realistic suppressor effect. Once pressed together, this last version is highly unlikely to come apart again. If you want to take it to the next level, try stuffing a ring of foam around the inside diameter of the cavity - it'll make the silencer even quieter. Note that this wasn't the original design intention, but rather an unexpected benefit.
