The discovery of a finely crafted portable rock was made in the Millstone Hill area of Ros Hill Wood, situated to the east of Chillingham, Northumberland. This intricately carved stone is now proudly displayed in a private collection. The NADRAP Team 3 gave the carving the designation 'Millstone Hill N01' and added it to ERA in 2008 with a detailed description. "A single large cup is carved into a small cobble, without any additional ornamentation," they noted. "The cobble appears to have been intentionally shaped to accommodate the single cup as its primary motif." The discovery was made by Peter Dwyer on the forest side of the wall that runs from Ros Castle hillfort past the known site at Millstone Hill, near a shepherd's hut. It was unearthed when ploughing was necessary to plant the forest north of the wall in April 2007. A 3D model was created from five stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson of NADRAP Team 3 during their expedition that month. The imagery is part of the comprehensive NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
