Human: Ancient rock carvings emerge near Millstone Burn on Longframlington Common, Northumberland.\nNamed 'Millstone Burn 2g' on the Beckensall Archive (BA), this stone was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008 and described as:\n'This rocky outcropping juts from the hillside, with prominent bedding planes visible on its side, forming a natural shelf.' At least thirty cups are scattered across the surface. Approximately sixteen small cups cluster together on the northwest face of the rock; four faint cups group nearby, lower down; and another six or seven very small cups gather lower still to the east. This cluster of small cups stands out and bears some resemblance to those found on carved rocks near Kirkcudbright in southwestern Scotland.'\nERA & BA information: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=544\nA 3D model was created from five stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson and Keith Elliott (NADRAP Team 3) in October 2006. The imagery is part of the comprehensive NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
