The ancient, hand-carved boulder sits majestically near Millstone Burn on Longframlington Common in Northumberland. This significant stone artifact is cataloged as 'Millstone Burn 2d' within the Beckensall Archive (BA) and was first documented by NADRAP in their extensive database in 2008. The BA and ERA both describe three or four intricate cups, some of which appear to be interconnected. The ERA & BA record can be accessed online at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=538. This impressive digital model was constructed from five high-quality stereo pairs captured by the skilled photographers Dave Tuck and David Jones (NADRAP) in October 2006. The accompanying imagery is part of the comprehensive NADRAP archive, generously shared with Historic England and Northumberland County Council for preservation and further study.
