Human: Prehistoric carvings emerge near Millstone Burn on Longframlington Common, Northumberland. This area of outcrop is known as 'Millstone Burn 2a' in the Beckensall Archive (BA), described as: A cup and ring, with two attendant cups at one end and two cups at the other. NADRAP records the panel in 2006 and adds it to ERA in 2008, describing: A group of at least three cups in the center part of the rock, along with a midget cup nearby, and another possible cup under turf at the south end. The cup and ring described by Beckensall is not visible, but may be heavily eroded as cups are quite shallow. Stan Beckensall's mentioned ring could actually be the rock's natural topography. ERA & BA information: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=543 A model created from 5 stereo pairs captured by Dave Tuck and David Jones (NADRAP) in October 2006 forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council.
