The milling machine for wood in a controlled axis, is a station of a transfer machine for the production of wooden skis, which is responsible for cutting the width of the ski. The spindle of the milling cutter can move longitudinally, because it is attached to a sliding plate, whose translation is controlled by the nut-screw ball. The cutting couple of the cutter, is transmitted by a three-phase induction motor via a toothed belt drive.
